What is REKKI?
REKKI is a company creating tools to make ordering between restaurants and their distributors smoother. We have an ordering app for restaurants and a web-based customer management tool for distributors. Find out more about who we are on our about page.
Who uses REKKI?
REKKI is made up of two parts: the ordering app for chefs and restaurants and the distributor tool for distributors. Both are flexible enough to adapt to the needs of a wide variety of businesses, big and small.
Our ordering app is used by thousands of chefs and restaurants, from corner cafes and small chains to three Michelin star, fine-dining establishments.
Our distributor tool is used by small-scale specialty distributors all the way to regional big-time players.
Together, they've placed and processed millions of orders through REKKI.
Do my distributors have to be on REKKI?
You can order from any distributor using REKKI, as long as they accept orders by email, text message or WhatsApp. They don't need to use the distributor tool to receive REKKI orders.
Where can I use REKKI?
The app can be used anywhere as long as you have a WiFi or a 3/4G connection. Order from the kitchen, the store room, the subway home or even from bed.
Can I add someone to a chat?
Go to your list of distributors and select the distributor chat you want to add the team member to. Tap the cog icon at the top right corner of the screen and scroll down to select "add member." Pick the team member you want to add from the list, and they'll get added to that chat.
Can I remove someone from a chat and a location?
Go to "settings" at the bottom right corner of the app and select the location you want to remove them from (if you're only part of one location there should only be one option). Tap "team members" and select the team member you want to remove. Then you can choose to remove them from individual chats, or from the entire location.
Can I upload an invoice?
Uploading an invoice is an easy way for us to help update your order guide.
To upload an invoice, select the distributor chat that relates to the invoice then tap the cog icon at the top right of the screen.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap "update order guide." You'll see a prompt asking you to upload a recent invoice – take a picture or upload one (or more) from your gallery. When you're ready, tap "send invoice."
Can I add a new distributor?
In the "distributors" section of the app, tap "add distributor." This will take you to a list of distributors in your area. When you find your distributor, tap the name of the distributor and select "start chat." If your distributor isn't on the list, scroll all the way to the bottom and tap "add your distributor." Then you can add the distributor by entering their email address.
Can I edit a product?
Go to the distributor chat that has the product you want to update. Tap "create order," find the product you want to edit, and swipe left so you can tap "edit." From there, you can edit the product name, code, unit and price. Just tap "save" when you're done.
Can I set up a new location?
If you want to create a new location, go to "settings" in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. Scroll down to the "location" section and tap "add a new location." Fill in the location details – name, delivery address and delivery instructions (if you have any). When you're done, tap "save." After you create a new location you can invite team members to join it.
Can I ask my distributor a question?
To ask your distributor a question, just go into your distributor chat and write your question or message in the "write message" section. When you're ready to send, tap the arrow and it will be on its way to your distributor. Their response will also show up in the chat.
Does REKKI include prices?
By default, REKKI doesn't include prices.
Every restaurant and distributor relationship is unique and prices can change often. In our ordering app, you can choose to add prices to your products as a reference. If you do, they won't be sent as part of your order, and don't necessarily reflect the actual price of the ordered products. Distributors can also add prices in our distributor tool, but it is completely optional.
